PARKER CLONE
Parker Clone is a dynamic band of Austin, TX. thoroughbreds that started rigging up explosive pop at the early age of 13. They set out to create the kind of straight-forward, chaotic, genuine Rock & Roll they could no longer find in the present teenage wasteland, tangling together threads of the Velvet Underground’s art-rock, David Bowie’s experimentation, The Stooges power, and the pure kick of T. Rex into a tight fabric, wrangling it into the present and a sound that’s all their own. Now old enough to burn their draft cards, they remain driven to explore that sound. Founded and fueled by Rowan Eno Stout, his electrifying guitar and crackling vocals are carried on Willow Braun’s fathoms-deep bass and candle-flame voice, both of them riding the waves of Eric Stanfield’s distorted drums and washed-out cymbals along with Reid Ronsonette’s sunny, reverb-drenched leads. This is how Parker Clone takes you where you want to be, and makes them the sonically thrilling band they are live and on record.
